Luke skywalker is gay

The Luke Skywalker originator spoke with Britain's The Sun earlier this week and confirmed that the Chosen One's sexual orientation is up for interpretation.

With Luke Skywalker, the character never had a defined sexuality within the canon of the movies and Mark Hamil has said stated his sexuality can be whatever the fans want it to be. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan was hinted at being bisexual (or asexual, depending on how you take the lines) in one of the novels.

Hamill said that Luke is gay if the audience is convinced that he is, urging fans to embrace the prospect and judge the character by his values and what he stands for.

Mark Hamill confirms that Luke Skywalker is meant to be individually interpreted by fans, including his sexuality.
